The Female Body

The key to any good sexual experience is communication. Talking about each others preferences beforehand can not only make both of you feel more at ease with what you are doing but be an interesting and fun method of foreplay. Cleaning up before hand is always a good idea, and this applies to both the receiver and giver.

Washing up:

Using an antibacterial soap, wash your hands to make sure that no harmful bacteria is introduced to the vagina or urethra that may cause a UTI or yeast infection. This applies to both the giver and receiver as often women will masturbate while receiving oral sex. Additionally anything that is going to come into contact with the vagina or urethra should also be washed before and after sex.

Shorten Finger Nails

Trim fingernails before going down to prevent any cuts or scraps that can occur to the vaginal walls.

Atmosphere

This includes everything from the lights and music to the foreplay beforehand. Starting with a massage or sensual touching can get both of you in the mood and discussing what's on the menu and what each partner enjoys can relax any anxieties that may be felt and heighten the senses for the main show. So dim the lights, burn an aromatic candle, and spread the massage oil around.

Psychological Issues

Many women may feel angst or hesitation when dealing with vaginal issues. Societal and psychological pressures can arise that inhibit a woman's ability to enjoy oral sex or to orgasm. All women get self conscious at some point about their vagina. Many times simple measures can be taken to relieve these fears.

Men may need to reassure their partner that they find them beautiful and enjoy what are they doing. Take it slow. Creating a relaxed atmosphere where she feels safe and beautiful will help to encourage her to try new things. Since many women are not able to have an orgasm from vaginal intercourse alone, she may experience her first orgasm if she has never had clitoral stimulation in this way before.

For women receiving oral pleasure let me assure you that just like men worry about how big their penis is women worry about how tight they are. We also worry about whether our partner would prefer us shaved or natural and finally the biggest concern for most women is the smell factor.

Washing up beforehand can greatly enhance the pleasure that both you and your partner feel. If there are odor issues that remain after washing and for an extended period of time, consider going to your doctor as you may have an infection. You should be aware that the natural scent of a womans vagina changes over her cycle. Generally though, if a man is offering to go downstairs then it is because he wants to and enjoys the experience.

Shaving is a preference of many men but not all and worldwide is actually in the minority. Ask your partner what he prefers if you are concerned. If you have never done so before consider using products designed for shaving this area such as Coochy Cream as they will provide better protection against razor burn.

Being “tight” is something generally associated with youth and virginity. A womans vaginal muscles can lose muscle tone over her lifetime from intercourse and mainly childbirth. There is a way to exercise your vaginal muscles and strengthen vaginal muscles, it's called a kegel. Kegel exercises can be done anywhere at anytime. Simple contract your vaginal muscles like you need pee very badly and hold it. Ben-Wa balls were created as weights for kegels and greatly help tone. Simply insert the balls into your vagina and do a kegel to keep them there. When your done relax your muscles and they will fall out. If it is your first time using Ben-Wa balls you might want to stay in while using them, don't want to go chasing them down the produce isle!

For a quick fix try one of the tightening creams available such as China Shrink Cream or Tighten Up! These products are designed to be applied to the vagina at least thirty minutes beforehand and can last up to twelve hours. The active ingredient in them shrinks the vaginal tissues for a time and causes that “tight” feeling. Be careful when applying though as to not get them on the urethra which can cause problems when urinating.

Safe Oral Sex

There is a wide range of STDs you can get from sexual activity. At present there is some debate about genital warts developing in the digestive track and there is always the fear of HIV/AIDS infection. Always think…SAFE SEX.

Dental dams are often used in sexual situations to prevent sexually transmitted disease for vaginal or anal oral sex . They are six-inch squares of latex and were first used by oral surgeons. This is the best protection to prevent genital herpes infecting your lips, or a systemic yeast infection.

Dental dams are used by those who want to practice safer sex techniques by placing them between your tongue and your lovers labia or anus. They come in a variety of flavors and are generally made form latex. Anyone with a latex allergy should look for latex alternative dams.

What Is The Clitoris And Where Is It?

The clitoris is found under the clitoral hood where a womans labia meet. The clitoral hood is a protective hood of skin that covers the clitoral glans. There is no standard size or shape for the hood. Some women have large clitoral hoods that completely cover the clitoris. Some of these can be retracted to expose the clitoris others do not retract. Other women have smaller hoods that do not cover the full length of the clitoris, leaving the clitoris exposed all the time. As in the male, sticky bands of tissue called adhesions can form between the hood and the glans, these stick the hood onto the glans so the hood cannot be pulled back to expose the glans.

The clitoris has 8000 nerve endings, twice as many as the penis. The clitoris is shaped like a wishbone with the two lower ends anchored inside the vagina. When a woman is aroused the entire clitoris fills with blood and the shaft can be felt under the clitoral hood.

The clitoris is the most sensitive part of a woman's body. Rough rubbing or licking directly on it is not usually the best idea. Another area that is often misunderstood, is that most women want to have constant, repetitive motion to one or both sides of her clitoris. Many women have a favorite side, so it is always good to ask which side she likes, or if you are the receiver tell your lover. Communication is always key during sex.

Oral Sex Techniques

These are the moments when you really can feel some tension if there is going to be any... a good way to break the ice before you go down is to tell her how good she looks, smells and tastes.

It may also be helpful to let her show you what type of stimulation she enjoys. The clitoris and vagina can be very fickle creatures. Too much repetitive stimulation can cause numbness and inhibit her from reaching climax. Likewise, too little variation may be boring and not stimulate her enough. If she seems to be enjoying something keep at it. Listen for verbal cues and an increase in her breathing. Alternatively, if she seems to be trying to move her body away from you then try varying what you are doing, or better yet ask her what she wants!

Just as many women can not achieve orgasm through vaginal stimulation alone, many can not achieve it through clitoral stimulation alone either. Manual stimulation of the vagina and labia, or stimulation with a vibrator while providing clitoral oral stimulation can provide a wide range of sensations and help her to achieve orgasm. To further enhance the experience you may try stimulating the g-spot.

About the G-Spot

The G-spot is the spongy, ridged area on the front wall of the vagina. It is loaded with nerve endings and is an erogenous zone for many women. Not every woman finds stimulation of this area pleasant. The G-spot can best be located by inserting one or more fingers two to three inches into the vagina and stroking towards the front of the body with a "come hither" motion. Some women require quite a bit of pressure and lubricant can be very helpful for applying pressure without irritating tissue. You may or may not feel anything you can identify as a G- Spot, so rely on your partner's feedback to find your way. Most women are more likely to find G- Spot stimulation pleasurable after they are already aroused. Of those who greatly enjoy this type of stimulation, some women experience an ejaculation of fluid upon orgasm or as part of arousal. This fluid is a product of the paraurethral sponge. It is clear and odorless, and is not urine.

Flavored Lubricants

Many flavored lubricants contain sugar and glycerin which can cause yeast infections. Try finding one that contains sugar substitutes instead like Foreplay or Swiss Navy, these two also have the distinction of not tasting bad. There are also lubricants such as WET naturals that are glycerin free if you are very sensitive.

Using a lubricant is always a good idea. It helps to protect the sensitive tissues of the vagina as well as proving increased sensation.
